A Wallaby found in a field has had to be put to sleep.
The charity says the animal was found behind the Sulby Glen Hotel and had sustained a broken femur and was also blind.
The MSPCA says blindness isn't uncommon in Manx Wallabie but isn't sure why - it suspects it could be due to vitamin defficiency or in-breeding.
Lastly, the charity adds it hopes the 'survival of the fittest' theory leads to a stable and healthy population of the magnificent creatures.
