Volunteers wanted to record marine strandings

Manx Wildlife Trust is looking for people who can help record when marine animals get stranded on the Manx coasts.

The organisation is now looking for volunteers who could help out, saying it deals with around 40 strandings around the Isle of Man each year.

The role would involve heading out to reported strandings to take photos and biological measurements - officials say individuals won't be asked to go to every single one and most will volunteer to go to ones in their area in the North, South, East or West.

MWT will run a training session for anyone interested in getting involved at 7pm on Monday, November 23, with a venue still to be decided depending on demand.

For any questions and to book a place people are asked to get in touch with Marine Officer, Lara, at Lara@mwt.com.
