Volunteer target reached for Commonwealth Youth Games!

Last ditch appeal clinches the final 100 volunteers needed

After months of appeals and serious concern regarding if they were going to reach their target, the organisers of the Isle of Man Commonwealth Youth Games have said they now have enough volunteers for event to go ahead.

It’d been a troubling time for the event organisers as they realised they still needed many more volunteers despite having reached their initial target last month.

They managed to attract over 100 new volunteers at a last ditch appeal at the Villa Marina last Sunday.

Event organiser Geoff Karran has said that they can now move their attention to allocating roles to the locals who have come forward to help.
