The VillaGaiety says it has started an upgrade project on its spaces.
It says that equipment has arrived to update the sound system, lighting equipment, rigging equipment in the Royal Hall at the Villa Marina.
In 2023 it was given £1.632 million of funding from Tynwald to complete upgrades on both theatres as it’s still using systems from 1996 and 2004.
This is phase one of a series of improvements with more to come across this year and next.
