Viagra will be available over the counter in 2018

Viagra will be made available over the counter from next year.

In Tynwald this week Ramsey MHK Dr Alex Allinson asked MHK Ann Corlett about buying the little blue pill from without a prescription. 

Mrs Corlett confirmed Manx residents will be able to legally buy the erectile dysfunction drug without prescription, over the counter in pharmacies.

It's hoped the decision will cut down on the number of men buying counterfeit and often illegal drugs on the internet. 

However, Mrs Corlett said men will still have to be assessed by their pharmacist to prevent underlying medical issues going undiagnosed.
