Police have launched an investigation after vandals caused a considerable amount of damage to a much loved children's climbing frame in a primary school playground.
The vandals struck at Murray's Road Junior School, it's thought the damage has been caused steadily over a period of several months.
Using an implement thought to be a saw they've cut away at 9 nylon ropes that held up a suspended bridge, meaning that the children can no longer use it.
The climbing frame was installed at a cost of £16,000 back in 2007, and it's thought the latest damage will cost over £1000 to repair.
Police say the attacks have been carried out with a worrying level of forethought, they urge anyone with information to come forward.
