Uproar as DCCL considers campsite plans

A number of objections have been lodged against plans to house a temporary campsite at the NSC in TT Week.

The Department of Community, Culture and Leisure has applied for planning permission for change of use for the area in the middle of the athletics track.

It wants to create the facility for a major motorsport firm for seven days.

Among the objectors is the Isle of Man Athletics’ Association.

Chairman David Pryke says they haven’t even been consulted about the plans and have serious concerns (audio above):
