Police have confirmed no one was reported missing yesterday who matched the description of an elderly woman they were trying to find.
Officers put out an urgent appeal following reports of a woman in pyjamas and slippers being seen on Glencrutchery Road in Douglas.
They say they made 'extensive inquiries' to find or identify her but think the person made it home safely on their own or possibly with the help of someone.
Police say if anyone sees anything like this in the future they should call it in and keep an eye on the person until they can attend.
