An update will be issued later this week following a meeting this morning between the Chief Minister, Treasury Minister, Chairman and Managing Director of the Steam Packet Company.
The discussion focused on 'gaining further insights' into the current industrial dispute and look into strategies to mitigate disruption to passengers and freight services.
In a statement from Treasury, it says a series of regular updates on ongoing developments will follow.
Proposed measures will be shared and discussed with the Council of Ministers on Thursday, when a further update will be given.
