Unite says it hasn’t yet made a decision on whether or not to appeal the findings of an employment tribunal.
The union is meeting with government again today in an effort to progress negotiations relating to bus drivers contracts.
Earlier this month a tribunal ruled that drivers had not been unfairly dismissed after changes were made to their terms and conditions.
The Department of Community, Culture and Leisure says a sound business case was found for making the changes in light of the current economic conditions.
Bobby Morton is the regional officer for Unite – he says drivers are keen for the positive discussions to continue:
Six new buses to replace 14 year old ones
Record number of seal pups recorded
Proposed laws could mean free period products
Unemployment fell slightly last month
GP waiting times to be raised in House of Keys tomorrow
Waves higher than predicted on crossing which damaged cars
Spitfire flights to be launched from Ronaldsway
