A decision to outsource a temporary cleaning contract at Noble’s Hospital has angered the union which represents staff.
The Department of Health has awarded G4S a 12-week trial contract for deep-cleaning work – which happens after outbreaks of infections.
Unite the Union says staff are unhappy with the decision and that it’s concerned that government’s procurement processes aren’t being followed properly.
The union has written to Treasury expressing its concern.
