Tim Dunlop is the Bomber Leader on the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, which features vintage aircraft that perform flypasts at events.
On Saturday, he was on his way to Blackpool Airport in his Lancaster bomber, accompanied by a Spitfire fighter craft.
He took to Twitter to post his view of Ronaldsway airport across one of his aircraft's wings - complete with Merlin engines.
