An MHK has come under fire from a union for his part in the recent civil service pay award.
Alf Cannan is both the chairman of the Civil Service Commission, and the employer’s side of the Whitley Council.
Unite regional officer Eric Holmes is questioning why the Civil Service has now seen consecutive pay rises, while those workers under the Whitley Council have not.
Whitley Council represents the entire public service, from road workers to hospital staff.
