A motorist from Union Mills has been remanded at the Isle of Man Prison after being accused of seriously injuring a teenage biker.
26-year-old Ryan Kneen, of Close-Y-Lhergy, appeared at Douglas Courthouse on Monday.
He's been charged with causing serious bodily harm to the 16-year-old by driving dangerously and drink driving.
In addition he's also been accused of failing to stop and failing to report a road traffic accident, having no insurance, taking a conveyance for his own use and driving whilst disqualified.
It follows an incident on the Ballahutchin Straight in Union Mills on Saturday night in which a biker received serious but non life threatening injuries.
There was no application for bail and he was remanded until his next court appearance on April 25th.
