Union members have backed Steam Packet staff over a working conditions dispute.
Seafarer's union Nautilus held its general meeting in Liverpool this week, and an emergency motion condemning the practice of fire and rehire was put to members.
The motion was passed unanimously.
Afterwards, Nautilus said it would continue to support members being impacted by fire and rehire tactics as well as campaign for an end to fire and rehire practices.
