An Island union is calling on the Manx government to match pay rises for public sector workers in the UK.
Prospect says offers made to staff here are effective pay cuts because of inflation and higher taxes.
Mick Hewer, Prospect's Negotiations Officer, says Treasury found enough money give two increases to police officers recently - adding other public sector workers should be treated similarly.
He says Tynwald members could be recalled from the summer recess to fully debate the issue of pay.
