UNESCO Biosphere Isle of Man currently has 167 partners helping its cause.
Environment, Food & Agriculture Minister, Geoffrey Boot MHK, revealed the figure in the House of Keys earlier this week.
He added the governments Biosphere Champion is working with a number of parties and the minister expects the number of participants to grow substantially over time.
His comments came in response to a query on the matter from Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse.
