The Department of Infrastructure is still trying to decide what to do with the horse trams while refurbishment is carried out on Douglas Promenade.
Work is being carried out on the southern end of the prom ahead of a major scheme that will see the roads, junctions and street furniture ripped out and replaced.
Eventually the horse trams will be removed from the centre of the carriageway.
Director of highways Richard Pearson says they’re still figuring out how they will move the tracks:
