The UK's minimum age for adults will be almost 80p an hour more than the Manx rate after today's budget announcements.
Rachel Reeves says she'll raise the UK's rate for over-21s - the National Living Wage - by 6.7 per cent, taking it to £12.21 an hour.
The new rate will apply from April 1 next year.
The Isle of Man's minimum wage was raised to £11.45 an hour for over-18s in July after being approved by Tynwald in May.
