A man from the UK has appeared in court over allegations he sent pictures of his genitals to a girl who he thought was 14.
Timothy Ian Moulton of Alfred Street in Western-super-Mare appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 41 year old faces one count of sending indecent or grossly offensive messages over a telecommunications system between July 15 and 19, but hasn’t yet entered a plea.
Prosecutor Rebecca Cubbon told the hearing a woman from the Island had set up a fake social media account purporting to belong to a teenaged girl.
It’s alleged Moulton sent a friend request to the account before sending sexualised messages and images.
There was no bail application, and magistrates remanded him in custody until his next court appearance on August 24.
