The UK government has given the green light for Manx Telecom's takeover after carrying out a national security assessment.
Last October, Jersey Telecom said it wanted to buy out the Island firm, but Westminster needed to approve the deal.
But it's now imposed conditions including fulfilling national security services to the UK, setting up a cybersecurity group and appointing a senior executive to oversee it.
In its decision, the UK's Cabinet Office said Manx Telecom is a critical supplier of services to UK Government departments supporting national security.
