University College Isle of Man has launched an initiative to provide support for its lecturers.
The 'Teaching and Learning Mentor' is an existing lecturer who can share their expertise in certain teaching techniques.
A spokesperson says the initiative will provide a 'nurturing, encouraging and positive learning climate' that supports students and challenges teaching.
Head of Learning Development and Partnerships, Pamela Berry, says situations can arise that provide a fresh challenge so it's important staff have the support they need.
