UCM students have made bird and bat boxes and donated them to a community garden.
14 boxes, which provide safe environments for the creatures, have been given to the wildlife garden at Ballanard Court sheltered housing complex.
Sam Warren, Head of Faculty for Environment and Sustainability, says they encourage students to get involved in the community, and so they're delighted to be involved in projects like this.
The scheme was led by Douglas Council, to bring together organisations to assist in regenerating community spaces.
