UCM Awards held with 'inspire' as theme

Over 45 students at UCM collected further education and apprenticeship awards at its UCM Awards.

His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor and the Chief Minister, Alf Cannan, attended the event at the Villa Marina, along with friends and families, and was officially opened by the Minister for Education, Daphne Caine MHK.

This year's awards theme was 'inspire,' with student presented awards in their subject areas.

Special awards were given for student engagement, the Heather Christian Award, apprentice of the year, and student of the year.
