Plans to ban single-use plastics on the Isle of Man go to Tynwald this week.
It comes after a government consultation earlier this year to gauge public opinion on banning items like cutlery, straws, carrier bags and food containers.
90% of respondents backed the plans which could form part of the Climate Change Bill.
More than 80% were in favour of banning single-use carrier bags, while 92% supported the the prohibition of polystyrene containers and plastic cutlery.
Under the proposals, businesses would be given a grace period to use up their existing single-use plastic stock before sales become illegal.
