Proxy votes could be introduced for local authority elections, if approved by Tynwald.
Members are set to discuss the Elections (Keys and Local Authorities) Act 2020 in next week's sitting.
Subject to approval, eligible voters will be able to apply for a proxy vote in local authority elections as well as general elections, which has not previously been allowed.
