Tynwald to question Glyphosate use on the Island

Could controversial herbicides be banned, and does the government know who's using them here?

That'll be discussed by Tynwald members this week when Ramsey MHK Dr Alex Allinson raises the topic.

During the court's May sitting, He'll ask Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister Clare Barber about Glyphosate use on the Island.

When members sit on Tuesday, May 19, he'll ask if DEFA keeps records of farmers using the substance - which has been linked to cancer - and if there's been an impact assessment on the effects of banning it.
