Tynwald will be asked to approve a goal to reduce the island's carbon emissions by 45% by 2035.
It follows a public consultation which showed a small majority supported a high-ambition target for the Island, with 51% of respondents in favour of 45% or higher by 2030.
Subject to the approval of the interim target regulation, the Climate Change Plan 2022-2027 will be brought to Tynwald this July.
