A member of the House of Keys wants to know how much money government has given to companies and other organisations concerned with sport.
Member for Onchan Julie Edge will ask the Minister for Economic Development Laurence Skelly for the figures in a Tynwald question paper for written answer.
Mrs Edge wants to know how much funding was given in each of the past five years and wants the figures broken down according to sport category.
A response to her question is due to be published this week.
