A pub in St Johns could double up as a shop on a permanent basis, if plans are given the green light.
The Tynwald Inn on Main Road has applied for permission for additional use as a retail outlet which would aim to be open between 8am and 11pm each day.
Those behind the application say, following a succssful period of trading, they would like to continue to provide the service to the local community for the foreseeable future.
They add the opening hours would link up closely with the operating hours of the pub and that there would be plenty of parking available with 40 spaces already on its grounds.
