Tynwald could set up a committee to look into dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia and dyspraxia in the Isle of Man.
At the court's November sitting, Onchan MHK Rob Callister will ask members to back setting up an investigation after a petition for redress of grievance was handed in on Tynwald Day in July.
The committee will look into how common the problems are and how youngsters who suffer with them are helped.
If members vote in favour, the committee would report back to Tynwald the end of April next year.
