The Isle of Man will no longer allow the importation of XL Bully dogs.
Tynwald voted to amend the Wild Animals Act 1980 on Tuesday, in response to the UK Government’s recent decision to make it illegal to own the XL Bully breed in England or Wales from 1 February, unless the owner has successfully applied for it to be registered, and keeps their dog muzzled in public.
They've joined the list of dogs banned from the Island, alongside Pit Bull Terriers amongst others.
If you already own an XL Bully on Island you won't be impacted by the change.
The ban came into force at a minute past midnight today.
