The Island's Treasury minister says ratepayers should receive their tax rebates within two weeks from the date of assessment.
Rushen MHK Juan Watterson asked Alf Cannan MHK what the average wait was in the past three years in a Tynwald question for written answer.
Mr Cannan says it can take up to three weeks if outstanding debt checks are undertaken or if Treasury staff are off during peak times.
