A recent poll has found two in three people on the Isle of Man are in favour of the introduction of assisted dying.
If members of the House of Keys vote through the bill on 31st October, the Island will be on the path to become the first part of the British Isles to legalise assisted dying as an option for its terminally ill, mentally competent citizens, subject to strict safeguards.
The Bill, introduced by Dr Alex Allinson MHK received a landslide victory when voted through to the next stage by members of the House of Keys last year.
We spoke to Millie Blenkinsop-French, a keen advocate of its introduction.
Millie had breast cancer at the same time that her son died following a painful battle with skin cancer; she said it should be our choice.
