Two Douglas men who've admitted trying to smuggle heroin and cocaine worth up to almost £750,000 have been committed to the Court of General Gaol Delivery.
Justin Grant Fayle of Lheannag Park and David John Alsop of Ballacottier Meadow appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
56 year old Alsop pleaded guilty to possessing heroin and cocaine with intent to supply them, while 39 year old Fayle admitted possessing drugs and two counts of supplying them - all the offences took place on October 22.
Mrs Hughes said the quantity of drugs - two kilos of heroin and 1.2 kilos of cocaine - meant both would have to be sentenced at the Court of General Gaol Delivery.
Both were remanded in custody and committed to the higher court to appear there on December 1.
