A court’s heard two Onchan men are alleged to have smashed their way into a drug dealer’s home and held a knife to his throat as they demanded drugs and cash.
Callum Thomas Radcliffe of School Road and Gavin William Patterson of First Avenue appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
32 year old Radcliffe admitted possessing cannabis on October 29, while 39 year old Mr Patterson denies possessing heroin and cannabis on the same date.
Neither have yet entered pleas to a charge of aggravated burglary on the same date at a property in Royal Court.
Prosecutor Hazel Carroon told the hearing the duo are said to have smashed a patio door just after 2.30am and threatened two men inside with a hammer and a knife.
They escaped with around an ounce of cannabis and £300 in cash - a tub matching the one the drugs were stored in was later found in Mr Patterson’s wheelie bin.
Police found a hammer in a wheelie bin in Onchan and a knife was later discovered hidden in a drain.
Bail applications for both men were denied, and they were remanded in custody until their next court appearance on December 6.
