The Department for Enterprise says TT marshals have a wide range of powers - and they can detain people!
A freedom of information request asked if marshals can make people move even if they're not in restricted zones, and decide where people are and aren't allowed to watch.
In response, the DfE said marshals can remove people from roads, land, or positions if they think there's a safety risk.
They can then detain people until police arrive.
