Organisers have applied for a road closure that would allow them to host the TT funfair on Loch Promenade this year.
IOM Funfairs, based in Bury, has applied to the Department of Infrastructure for permission to close the prom walkway between Granville Street and the War Memorial from May 28 until June 12.
For the first and last two days, pedestrians would be excluded from the area as the fair sets up and is taken down.
The area would also be closed each night from 11pm until 11am the next day.
The DOI is currently considering the application.
