Manx Wildlife Trust is carrying out examinations on dead local seabirds to see if any have ingested plastics.
The organisation says so far there hasn't been any cases of this from studies already carried out.
However, MWT wants to hear from members of the public who come across deceased seabirds so the animals can be autopsied.
Anyone who can help is being asked to contact the trust on 844 432.
