Tributes are being paid to a Manx WWII veteran and Burma Star recipient.
Onchan's Royal British Legion has announced that Gordon Allen died aged 99 at the Silverdale Nursing Home.
Mr Allen was part of the campaign in the Far East which is often called The Forgotten War.
The Royal Navy veteran's described as having been a staunch member of the Burma Star Association, with many friends in the British Legion.
