Tributes are being paid to Douglas North MHK John Wannenburgh.
He died after a short illness yesterday.
Mr Wannenburgh was first elected to represent the constituency in 2021.
In statement, President of Tynwald Juan Watterson said: "John took his politics seriously, and prided himself on being straight talking but was also the life and soul of any party, with great stories of the celebrities from all walks of life that he had got to know."
He added Mr Wannenburgh was "an excellent ambassador for our Island" and "relishing the prospect of the 2026 election".
