Tributes are being paid to a former Mayor of Douglas who died on Sunday.
Douglas Borough Council has confirmed Stan Cain died as a result of injuries sustained in a fall whilst visiting family in the UK.
He served as the Mayor for the 2014-2015 civic year and was a council employee from 1989 to 2008.
Council leader David Christian has described him as a "devoted family man" and says he took on the role as Mayor with "boundless enthusiasm".
