5 day trial set for 21st November
A trial date was finally set yesterday for Dr Dirk Hoehmann, the Island’s former Ear Nose and Throat specialist at Nobles Hospital.
Deemster Turner will preside over a 5-day trial, which has been scheduled for 21st November.
Dr Hoehmann stands accused of failing to declare 44 offences of fraud committed during his time in Germany.
He left the country with these offences outstanding.
As he failed to declare this during his interview it subsequently meant he obtained £736,000 by deception from the former Department of Health and Social Security.
He will be remanded in custody until the time of his trial.
