Police are appealing for help tracing vandals who destroyed a number of trees at a Cornaa beauty spot.
The Ash and Elm trees aged 40 to 60 were on the Barony Estate and were damaged in the last week, and those responsible also started a fire.
Officers say it's a big loss to the local environment because Elms are scarce in the wake of Dutch Elm disease and had the fire spread it could have caused immeasurable damage to the environment.
