The Treasury says its spending on printing, paper and postage fell by almost 14 per cent last year.
A Freedom of Information request asked how much it cost each year to produce, print and mail paper benefits forms for claimants.
In its response, it said it didn't have figures for the cost of producing benefits forms - but said last year its total bill for printing consumables, envelopes and postage came to £108,385.
That's well up on 2024's total of £92,243.
