£6.8 million extra needed
Treasury Minister Anne Craine will be seeking extra money for the continued funding of ongoing capital spending projects.
In total she’ll be seeking just shy of £7 million when she goes to Tynwald with the request.
Bemahague School, the Battery Pier and the Ballafletcher Sports pitches are among some of the projects that have seen additional spending needed.
The Treasury are keen to impress however that it doesn’t necessarily mean that the developments have gone over budget.
It can relate to a capital project being brought forward, or being completed quicker than expected.
