The Treasury Minister says he is not in favour of the government setting up its own airline.
It was an idea raised in the House of Keys yesterday by West Douglas MHK Chris Thomas who suggested the Island could follow Guernsey’s lead.
He wanted more information on government’s plans in light of the news that Flybe is closing its base at Ronaldsway.
Guernsey operates its own nationalised airline with any losses it makes incurred by its government.
Eddie Teare says the idea has serious financial implications:
Buchan School could become 85 homes under new plans
Flood defence plans scrapped after five planning objections
TT food van needed for trackside car park
Northern roadworks to hinge on Mountain Road reopening
Beer festival to return this week
Dublin to sign friendship agreement with Douglas in summer
Total of 35 properties on council's dilapidated list
Equipment being sold off from popular former bar
