Treasury Minister Anne Craine has been speaking to 3FM in the run down to what is going to be one of the toughest annual budgets in recent history.
She will be delivering her first budget on February 15th charged with the task of plugging the deficit brought about by the loss of VAT revenue.
Mrs Craine has a significantly more difficult task than her predecessor Alan Bell, with the loss of income jumping from £85 to £142 million.
Minister Craine has said this years budget will be very important for the Island.
