The government's set to release a new set of rules for people who dig up buried treasure.
The Treasure code of practice tells people when they have to inform Manx National Heritage of their finds.
The new laws, which take effect in October, will mean those who find ancient riches will have to hand it over - or face a year in jail and fines of up to £5,000.
Once they've handed over their find, however, the organisation can decide if it falls into the definition of treasure and be given to the Crown - with compensation for the finder.
The new rules will go before Tynwald next week.
