Plans to demolish the historic Tramway Terrace in Douglas have been put on hold after it's been determined that it can be repaired.
A tender exercise was launched just last month to identify firms able to partially demolish the buildings, but during the process a conservation engineer concluded that the building is repairable.
Actions have been taken to make the building safe in the short term and the tender process has been paused while options are explored on what should be addressed most urgently.
The stables complex was built in 1877, and has been in government ownership since 2018.
